Ford factory ignition modules

Identified by the color of the strain relief plastic around the wires.
RED--Dura Spark I
WHITE--Dura Spark II (with cranking ignition retard).
BLUE--Dura Spark II (coil current ALWAYS on !, WILL start if starter is bumped)
YELLOW--Dura Spark II (dual mode, 3 connectors,Baro sensor)
GREEN
OR
BLACK--Early solid state ignition.
BROWN--EEC system.

You wouldn't happen to have a list or a link to which years and which cars had each of these modules, would you?

Personally, when using a production Ford type ignition, I prefer the remote mount "thick film" as on inline 6 cylinder trucks or 94 Mustangs.
A STANDARD points distributor will trigger them.

Can't show it but, I think I can tell you ...

First ... use a relay for the power because the "key-on run" wire in an older Ford will not carry enough current.

The poles of a 4.9L six cylinder or 94/95 5.0 L Mustang thick film, (TFI), divorced ignition are numbered: sometimes # 6 is the ground so, simply reverse the order on those.
1 = ground
2 = coil (-)
3 & 6 = tied together and go to the switched 12 volts through the relay and
that connection also connects to the coil (+)
4 = blank
5 = points (be sure to disconnect the condenser)
